Promoting Gender Equity in Medicine
Thank you to everyone who have supported us and our mission. We are no longer an active organization although we will always continue to promote gender equity in medicine.
"Medicine is so broad a field... it must be regarded as one of those great departments of work in which the cooperation of men and women is needed to fulfill all its requirements."
Elizabeth Blackwell (1821-1910) was the first woman in the United States to earn a medical degree. With her sister, she founded the New York Infirmary for Women and Children and trained nurses in the American Civil War.
